Washburn University held their first Scorch on the Porch for the semester on a beautiful August 19, 2011. Scorch on the Porch provided live music for students, faculty and staff, as well as food and a spots where they could buy Washburn merchandise from the Washburn Bookstore as well as Kaw yearbooks from Washburn Student Media.
