WU softball prepares for Crossover

The Lady Blues are gearing up for the MIAA Northern Crossover.

"We are working on having good pitching, defense and timely hitting," said coach Lisa Carey.  

She said they are making some adjustments at bat, which is something Lindsey Moore, sophomore shortstop, said needs work.

"With Pitt we struggled with hitting," she said, "so that is something we will focus on."

The first two games, Friday, are against Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern—teams the Blues have met before.

"We need to set the tone early with our sticks by scoring," Carey said. "And we will work on making it easier for the pitchers for the rest of the game."
