The golf team kicked off their season this week by traveling to the Central Missouri Invitational in Warrensburg, Missouri.
After Monday, the Ichabods sat in fourth place behind the Central Missouri B Team, Central Missouri and Harding University.
Blake Allen led the way for the Ichabods on day one. He shot even on the first round of 18 holes, and then he improved his score by shooting a -2 on the last round of 18 holes. After 36 holes, he sat in sixth place.
Following Allen was Andrew Beckler and Ian Trebilcock. Beckler was even over the first 18 holes. He followed that up with +1 on the last 18 holes. Trebilcock shot +2 after all 36 holes. Beckler tied for 14th place, and Trebilcock tied for 20th place.
Rounding out the Ichabod golfers were Nathan Roy, Griffin Mott and Brooks Brown. Roy tied for 30th after shooting +4 during the day. Mott, who shot +6, tied for 46th place. Finally, Brown tied for 86th after shooting +14 through 36 holes.
The Ichabod golf team’s next contest will begin on Sept. 17 and end on Sept. 28 at the NSU Men’s Golf Classic in Tahlequah, Okla.
