Weekend's baseball, softball games cancelled

This weekend's softball and baseball games have been cancelled.

The Washburn Ichabods were set to open their season this weekend with a Friday-Sunday series against Nebraska-Kearney at Falley Field. The games were canceled because of poor field conditions and forecasted inclement weather. The Ichabods' next scheduled game is 3 p.m. at Falley Field against Rockhurst if weather doesn't affect it.

The Lady Blues' weekend matchups at the Fort Hays State Crossover tournament were also cancelled because of the weather. The Blues' next play at the Missouri Southern/Pittsburg State Border Battle, Feb. 26-28, in Pittsburg.
